Stacey Sansom Designs Status Alert

Stacey Sansom Designs has had horrible luck with the server company that we changed to back in February 2017. Server status has been hit or miss at best. The problems have ranged from a slow/non-responsive server in low peak times all the way to outright outages for several hours. For this, I truly apologize.

The latest round of outages being on October 12, 2017. Upon submitting several support tickets to report the outages, I was told that the problem was my browser and their servers were working fine. Unfortunately, I had already checked another browser. I had already verified that my internet connection was running adequately (we have had problems with AT&T U-Verse service intermittently going out since August 2017). I checked on different devices. The problem was not isolated to me and my choice of browser. This was a true problem and they were trying to cover it up as far as I am concerned.

Due to their insufficient response to the last outage, I procured another business to handle the hosting needs of Stacey Sansom Designs. I even set up to have the new company transfer the client websites – immediately. Which they told me would take roughly 8-10 hours and they would keep me updated throughout the process. Unfortunately, the server company has the account locked down way tighter than it needs to be. They have locked down the access to adequate backups for migration. The new company is happy to help me, but I have got to complete a very slow and tedious process of full and complete back-ups because what was created is not adequate for server migration.

Please keep in mind that this is a slow process as the server is only allowing me to complete one complete backup at a time. I have tried multiple times to open multiple accounts and start the back-up generation process. The server is under “powered” for this. I have to resort to a single client account at a time. This is very time consuming as the server is slow and sluggish.

DO NOT WORRY! There is NO NEED TO PANIC!

Your websites are safe and still running on the server and they will remain there until we get the new server up and running with the accounts set-up and ready to go.

I have many backups of your websites. I am very certain that from these backups all websites will be fully functional once the server migration is complete.

Once I have obtained all the complete back-ups that are required for migration, I will update the progress we have made.

Once the migration is completed, it could take 24-72 hours for the entire internet to correctly direct your visitors to the correct IP address, but it will happen. For some, it will be very quick. It may only take 2-3 hours. For others, it may take upwards of 3 days. Please be patient.

Please note that if you make any changes to your websites in the next 3-5 days, these changes may not stick. Please refrain from making additional changes for the next 72 hours if at all possible. If you find you need to make changes or updates, please drop me an email and I will recreate your backup files.

Thank you for being so understanding. Thank you for being patient.
