Stacey Sansom Designs is owned by Stacey Sansom and was formed in July 2009.
I became interested in web design in the Spring of 1995 and have been designing ever since. I have studied at the Univeristy of Texas, the University of Houston, and Lone Star College-Tomball. Studies included everything from computer science, mathematics, English (creative writing and literature), database administration, graphic design, web design, and other liberal arts.
I have been actively working in the web and graphic design industry since early 2003 when I was a founding partner of Inventive Site Strategies, Inc. When the company was mutually dissolved in mid-2009, I broke off on her own and has not looked back.
Upon moving with my family – husband and 3 boys – from Tomball, Texas to Little Elm, Texas in 2016, it was decided that all web design services would be phased out and done on a case by case basis and no more than 1 new project per quarter.
Looking for a creative outlet, I decided that it was time to do something else. Branching out into the more creative arts, I am now offering a wider range of graphic design services for small businesses.
I have been sewing since I was roughly 10 years old, but my desire did not increase until about 20 years ago when I began quilting as a hobby. Trained by my mother and watching my sister for many years, I have developed a wide range of sewing skills.
In 2017, I launched my first fabric line. A project that was several years in the making. With the help of a local Dallas company, I am able to provide my custom designed fabrics to the public – available in over 21 different fabric types at any given time. As a print on demand designer, all yardage is available in cuts exactly the size you need on the fabrics you want.
In 2018, Stacey Sansom Designs began offering small run manufacturing to other small businesses needing sew products produced for their own businesses. Many small run facilities will not take orders smaller than 500 items. I will take orders as small as 1 at a time. This gives me the opportunity to produce products that I would not normally produce for myself or my family. Who knew that the mom of all boys would be making dresses for little girls?
When I am not busy designing, I can be found spending time with my husband of over 19 years and 3 children (all boys) ages 21, 18, and 13.
I am also an active participant in my church. I have served as a Family History Consultant, Quilting Specialist, Assistant Librarian, and have served in both Scouts and Cub Scouts. In Cub Scouts I am currently serving on the Cub Scout Wolf Den Leader, but I have served on the Cub Scout Committee, as the Pack Trainer, and Wolf/Bear Den Leader. In Scouts, I serve I served on the Scout Committee overseeing the Journey to Excellence progress.
I find joy in listening to my boys play their multiple instruments. Her oldest plays the piano, cello, organ, harmonica, and is learning the violin. He has dabbled in other instruments such as the ukelele and harpsichord as well. Her middle child plays the piano and viola, as well as the kazoo (someone has to, right?). Her youngest is learning the piano and cello. He is excited about learning the organ in the near future.
I am an avid reader and enjoy reading a range of genre. My favorite is 19th Century British literature, except for Dickens. I am strange in that I enjoy reading technical manuals and similar style writing.
In my free time (what little time there is after running boys to various activities) you can find me quilting, sewing, knitting, crocheting, working on digital scrapbooks, or doing other crafty things.
