Classes

Available classes coming soon….

Classes are currently under the organization phase. I am busy building plans for what I want to accomplish with each class.

The following is a preview of what classes you can expect. Classes are subject to change. Availability is subject to popularity and interest.

Class sign-ups will be posted as we get closer to class availability.

Class size is currently limited to 4 students. Private lessons are available upon request.

Beginner Classes

Beginner Quilting Class
(all ages)

No matter what your age, come learn the art of quilting. Bring your child (or mother) and make a quilt together. Class will focus on basic skills.

Students should take the class over the course of 4-6 weeks to finish the course project. Sewing time outside of class may be required. The overall length of course rotation is still to be determined based on the sewing skill set of the students in each course. If you have never sewn on a sewing machine before, it is recommended that you take the Beginner Sewing Class before starting this class.

Class is recommended for kids 8 and up. Children younger than 8 should have an adult sewing buddy in the class.

Class may have additional course material fees if you do not have appropriate supplies. See recommended beginner quilter’s supply list (coming soon).

Beginner Quilting Class
(kids only)

This class is for the young aspiring quilters out there ages 8 and up.

The course rotation will run 4-6 weeks. This rotation will depend on the overall sewing skill set of the students in each course. If you have never sewn on a sewing machine before, it is recommended that you take the Beginner Sewing Class before starting this class. During each rotation, the students will work on a course project. Sewing time outside of class may be required.

Class may have additional course material fees if you do not have appropriate supplies. See recommended beginner quilter’s supply list (coming soon).

Beginner Quilting Class
(adults only)

If you have ever wanted to learn how to quilt, now is your chance! Recommended for all adults no matter what their sewing abilities. If you have never sewn before, it is recommended that you take the Beginner Sewing Class before starting this class.

Each course rotation will run 4-6 weeks. This rotation will depend on the overall sewing skill set of the students in each course. During each rotation, the students will work on a course project. Sewing time outside of class may be required to finish the project.

Class may have additional course material fees if you do not have appropriate supplies. See recommended beginner quilter’s supply list (coming soon).

Beginner Sewing Class
(all ages)

This class is geared toward the absolute beginner sewing student aged 8 and up. The course rotation will run multiple weeks based on the needs of the students. We will go through the absolute basics of using a sewing machine, reading a pattern, selecting and cutting fabric, pressing, zippers, etc.

Some classes you may choose to skip based on topic. Each class will have some sort of project to work on during the class. Some projects may span multiple classes. These projects will be clearly marked.

Class schedule will be posted, but spots will be limited in each class so sign up early.

Class is recommended for students age 8 and up.

Beginner Sewing Class

These classes are for those individuals that often ask the questions, “I know how to sew, now what?”

Block of the Week Club

This class is going to follow more of the club set-up and we’ll work on completing an entire quilt.

Rotations of this class will be posted based on the quilt being completed.
